Award-winning Bistrot Pierre, independent French restaurant (est. 1994) has developed and installed another menu, which adds to their already extremely popular other menu options, that include Prix Fixe and Soirée Gastronomique. The Menu Soirée offers 3 courses and also includes a complimentary glass of their signature Cuvée 22 wine.
Following a choice of starters, main courses (Plats Principaux) include Boeuf Bourguignon, Roast Pork Belly, Vegetable Tagine and more. I selected Chicken Live Parfait with grilled artisan bread and homemade red onion confiture to commence the dining occasion. This made an excellent start.
For the main course I chose Chicken Printanier (Pan-fried chicken breast, asparagus, fricassee of wild mushrooms, peas, truffle oil and tarragon, with tenderstem broccoli and new potatoes). This dish is paired with a glass of XX11 Blanc de Blancs. Flavoursome, tender, succulent and perfectly cooked, with excellent presentation, this warranted ‘Compliments to Chef’ – without hesitation! Head Chef, Bozena and the brigade of chefs create impressive dishes.
For dessert I favoured Sticky Toffee Pudding (Vanilla ice cream), a perfect ending to a most splendid dining experience. High-quality wines/drinks are available, too.
