Gamston Community Hall has re-opened for bookings following a renovation and its use as a vaccination centre.
New bookings can be made via Rushcliffe Borough Council by visiting https://bit.ly/2Xcs081 or calling 0115 914 8553 for indoor sports, fitness classes,
playgroups, children’s parties, community gatherings and educational classes.
The venue was utilised by the NHS CCG as a vaccination centre from January to October 2021, overseeing over 180,000 jabs by its wonderful dedicated teams and volunteers.
Now the authority has completed renovations of the venue which includes new toilet facilities, vinyl flooring throughout, energy saving LED lighting, new windows and blinds and a refitted kitchen.
The Council’s Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Communities and Climate Change Cllr Abby Brennan visited the hall to meet a local badminton group, who use the space weekly and have sent their thanks to the Council for its updated features.
She said: “It’s brilliant to see the newly refurbished hall now open for community use, and we’re delighted to have received positive feedback on the venue’s renovations.
“We would encourage anyone looking for a space to host their fitness class, party or gathering at Gamston Community Hall or any other of our diverse venues by visiting our website or giving our facilities team a call.”
Peta Hyland is a member of the badminton group at Gamston and was delighted to return to the space.
She said: “It looks wonderful, the decor is bright and clean, the flooring is fantastic and the updates to the windows have made such a difference.
“Thank you to Rushcliffe Borough Council so much for making it a lovely place to play badminton and also for providing this superb community facility.”
