Young sisters donate hair to Little Princess Trust

12/05/2021 by Digital Media

Two inspiring sisters made the decision to have over 30cm of their hair cut off to gift to the Little Princess Trust charity.

The Little Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years of age, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

On 7th May, 8-year-old Piper Gilfillan and her little sister, 5-year-old Verity from Bingham, had their long locks chopped off to gift to the Little Princess Trust, so that other young girls in need can experience having real hair again.

Not only did they donate their hair to the Trust, but they also had help setting up a Just Giving Page where they have managed to raise over £200 so far to further support the charity.

Mum, Stacey said “I am so so proud of my girls! Piper – it was so brave of you to donate your gorgeous hair, I’m so glad that you love it! Verity – I love how you showed your sister your support by doing it with her!”
