Young local budding racing star

09/09/2019 by Digital Media

Luke Milward of Silverdale Nottingham, turned 5 in June of this year, but has been racing his Go-Kart since the age of 3.  He started his karting life at Lockwell Karting track, near Sherwood Forest Nottingham, he would practice after Playgroup.  Luke took very quickly to karting and soon progressed to practicing at Whilton Mill track in Daventry Northampton, he goes every Wednesday night straight from school and loves meeting up with friends.  This year he has competed in the Bambino Kart Club Championship with races all over the UK.  He competes in the Comer Bambino class along with 20 other competitors, these kids are aged between 5 and 8 years old.

Luke loves to tell others about Karting and recently had the opportunity to take his Go-Kart into school, he stood up and told them all about how exiting Karting is and the safety aspects of it.

With one race left to go, Luke currently sits in 11th place, with his best performance last weekend where he finished on the podium in 2nd place, this being an awesome achievement for him. His final race will take place in Wombwell, Barnsley in October.
