Two winners of the #LoveClifton Award have been announced by local Councillors after receiving many lovely nominations.
Councillor Maria Watson said, “In May, Clifton East Cllrs Kevin Clarke, myself (Cllr Maria Watson) and Cllr Kirsty Jones created a #LoveClifton award to say thank you to local volunteers that go above and beyond for our community.
“We have had custom made pin badges created that will only be obtainable through this new scheme accompanied with a thank you letter from Councillors.
“Clifton is rich in volunteers, and this is to let them know how grateful both we and the community are.
“Two awards were delivered in May, one to TJ Stevenson, a young 13-year-old boy who helps out at organised litter picks and assists with children’s events that we put on.
“The second award went to Debbie Murden who is invaluable in helping run events, litter picking groups and weekly park cleans whilst holding down a full-time job.
“June nominations are now open, to nominate you can email [email protected], include their full name and address and if possible, a photo along with why you are nominating them.
“We shall select two people a month (children or adults) from Clifton. #LoveClifton.”
