Nigel Wheatley, centre director at Victoria Centre, said: “Since the announcement on Saturday, we’ve been working hard to support our retailers as they make plans for the new lockdown period. As was the case back in the spring, we’re doing everything possible to ensure that people in the city still have access to essential services, as well as the opportunity to click and collect items and buy food to take away, in line with the guidance set out by the government.
“As this is a fast-moving situation, some plans may be subject to change, and we urge everyone to check individual retailer websites and social media channels before leaving home.
“Our Victoria Centre team, will be continuing to ensure that the centre is a safe and clean place for those who visit us during this time and we ask that people still follow the guidance regarding social distancing and the wearing of face coverings, as well as using our hand sanitising stations regularly.
“Like everyone else in the country, it’s important that we do our bit now so we can return to some degree of normality in the run up to Christmas. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Victoria Centre fully in December.”
Other changes at Victoria Centre from Thursday 5 November – Wednesday 2 December include:
