One of Notts’ coolest bars is set to return this weekend – feel like you’ve jetted off to Europe for the weekend!
This Saturday, 7th May, a Nottinghamshire venue is preparing to turn itself into a scene more reminiscent of the streets and bars of Budapest rather than of an old bus depot in Beeston.
The Garage, an ex-bus garage turned events venue in Chilwell is re-launching its popular themed event, The Ruin Bar this weekend, and it’s designed to make you feel as if you’ve jetted off to Europe for the evening.
“Ruin Bars are set in old, previously abandoned spaces famously found Budapest, the capital city of Hungary.” said James Barton, one of the event organisers.
“We take this concept and combine it with the atmosphere and history of The Garage to bring you one of the most unique venues to visit in Nottingham. Expect to find old buses, bikes, historic Nottingham relics and nature taking over as our themed abandoned bar seemingly springs to life after years of being untouched.”
“There simply nowhere quite like it in the East Midlands.”
There will be a range of themed cocktails, some of Nottingham’s finest craft beers and also a wood-fired pizza oven.
It was named in Nottinghamshire Live’s top ten coolest and quirkiest bars in Nottinghamshire of 2021.
Perfect for anyone looking to do something a little bit different this weekend, The Ruin Bar is running this Saturday between 5pm and 11:30pm and is free to enter.
