The Local News launches online produce marketplace

23/04/2020 by Digital Media

The Local News has launched a new website www.localto.co.uk to support local retailers and suppliers through this difficult time. ‘LOCAL to YOU’ has been set up for local businesses to list their products for sale, that are then available for delivery across Nottinghamshire.

Nottingham Local News Managing Director, Jamie Swift said: “We have heard from lots of local retailers and suppliers who have products for sale, but due to the current restrictions have no way of selling them. There are also businesses who didn’t have any way of delivering their stock to customers. So, using The Local News’ IT skills and distribution network, we are now able to offer these services on the new LOCAL to YOU website.”

It is free for all local businesses to list any items with a small sales commission taken to cover the website operating costs and payment charges. Delivery is available to homes and businesses in any NG postcode and there is also a free click and collect option.

Jamie continued: “We want to make this website a real showcase for local retailers to promote their products to local people. We want to offer customers a wide variety of goods and with secure payment and quick delivery, it will be really easy to support local business through such a difficult time for everyone.”
