StepOutStayOut, an organisation based in Clifton, is excited to announce that they have a new trustee, Elizabeth Clough – the daughter of Brian Clough.
Brian Clough is well known around the city, for taking Nottingham Forest from a struggling league two team in 1975, to winners of the European Cup in both 1979 and 1980.
Clough is considered one of the greatest managers of all time for his achievements with Forest and was awarded an OBE in 1991 for his services to football. Despite being one the league’s most successful managers, he was overlooked for the national team on more than one occasion, giving him the title ‘the greatest manager England never had’.
During the Christmas period, Elizabeth Clough accepted a check on behalf of StepOutStayOut and gave out gifts to children in attendance. (Elizabeth is pictured left). She has also recently taken part in a podcast with Pete Ball, the founder of StepOutStepOut.
