Transform Trust is delighted to confirm one of its Nottingham City primary schools has achieved the World Class Schools Quality Mark (WCSQM) reaccreditation.
Sneinton St Stephen’s CofE Primary School on Windmill Lane, Nottingham is one of only five primary schools in the country that has proved themselves to be World Class over a period of three years as well as achieving reaccreditation during the incredibly challenging circumstances of the pandemic.
On 1 July 2021, World Class primary and secondary school leaders, staff and students came together from across the UK and internationally for WCSQM’s Symposium, sponsored by the award-winning interactive learning platform Performance Learning. Centred around the theme of ‘World Class futures’, it celebrated all student’s achievements despite the unique academic year challenged by school closures and isolation. The Awards Ceremony saw Sneinton pupils being awarded with the World Class Character Award. Careers organisations including LinkedIn, Education for Employers and Accenture joined careers education providers like Positive Footprints and CEC partners, to deliver insightful and educational sessions that highlighted the various career pathways that students can embark upon.
Kelly Lee, Headteacher of Sneinton St Stephen’s and Partnership Director for Transform Trust said:
“This is a significant achievement and credit to the children who worked so hard to demonstrate their leadership, communication and resilience in the school evaluation. Sneinton pupils were leading the way in supporting the assessment of children across the country to demonstrate their world class characteristics.”
Miranda Perry, Director of WCSQM said: “We have a lot to celebrate at WCSQM. The challenges of the last few months have proved that the World Class skills and competencies of our students, the recognition of which is the point of our organisation, are what really matter. World Class students have the skills and competencies not only to survive in times of trial, but to flourish. We are celebrating our confidence in the fact that our World Class students will win at life, no matter what.”
