This year, Singh Pharmacy proudly celebrates 40 years of service in West Bridgford, marking four decades of dedication, resilience, and community care.
Founded by the visionary Shamser Singh at the young age of 24 along with his wife Sarjit Singh, Singh Pharmacy opened its doors at 6 Tudor Square, right next to the local GP surgery. What started as a one-man mission to provide personalised healthcare quickly grew into a beloved, family-run business.
Driven by a deep connection with the community, Shamser answered the call from Lady Bay residents to open a second branch on Trent Boulevard, transforming an old laundrette into another vital healthcare hub.
Through the years, Singh Pharmacy has weathered many challenges – from the closure of nearby GP surgeries to the economic upheaval of Brexit and the unprecedented demands of the pandemic. Yet, in the face of these trials, Singh Pharmacy has always remained dedicated in its commitment to customer care, serving as a lifeline for the most vulnerable.
Now, with Shamser’s son Gurminder Singh stepping into a leadership role as an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist, the future looks brighter than ever. Gurminder has modernised both pharmacies, introducing cutting-edge services like GP-style consultations, phlebotomy, and ear wax removal.
As Singh Pharmacy looks forward, one thing remains unchanged: its unwavering dedication to innovation and its heartfelt commitment to providing first-class, accessible healthcare to the community it has proudly served for generations.
