Arnold school pupils observe ‘Thy Kingdom Come’

30/06/2021 by Digital Media

Children at Burntstump Seely C of E Academy have observed ‘Thy Kingdom Come’; an 11-day Christian prayer movement held across the globe each year.

Heather Gabb is Head Teacher at Burntstump Seely C of E Academy, a school located at the top of Burntstump Hill in Arnold. She said, “Our children have really enjoyed being a part of this worldwide movement which in the main has been a virtual event due to the pandemic.

“Burntstump children have created artworks and written prayers which they have placed in various installations around the school, including some beautiful pieces in our woodland area. They have shown great kindness and compassion with their prayers and wishes for the wellbeing of their families, friends, and fellow human beings across the world. Our school has ensured that the event was inclusive, and children have responded so well towards this outpouring of kindness.”
