Building work began in spring 2023 on the old college site on Farnborough Road and the end is now in sight, as Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) plan to move there in the next few weeks.
The newly named ‘Clifton Place’ will offer a workspace for NCHA, seeing the relocation of their central office staff, maintenance facilities and call centre into one central location.
Designed and developed by NCHA’s own in-house teams, the new site includes 50 independent-living apartments for older people for an affordable rent. Half of the apartments have already been let off plan, and the others are expected to follow close behind. These are expected to be finished by Christmas. Fourteen supported-living flats and six bungalows will complete the development along with the retained sporting facilities.
Founded in 1973, NCHA provide affordable housing for more than 20,000 people in the East Midlands and deliver nearly one million hours of social care each year.
The group are a big employer in the region with over 1,200 colleagues. They are currently recruiting a mix of roles including joiners and plumbers; take a look at their job vacancies at www.ncha.org.uk/jobs.
