Other highlights from the day came from some friendly competition between two local vets Rupert Symes and Lorna Clark. The pair took to social media earlier in the day to begin their competition with an amusing video outside the Pinfold Practice, although both went on to win trophy’s Rupert however won the battle of the vets taking two trophies to Lornas one. A further highlight of the day came from one of our youngest entrants in the under 11s category of a Lego structure. Ellis Phipps aged 5, constructed a replica of St Marys Church complete with grounds and clock (photo left).
Event organisers are absolutely delighted with the turn out and loved hearing spectators talking about the show and taking inspiration for their own entries next year, all while enjoying tea and cake. All proceeds raised on the day will go towards the continuing maintenance and enhancement of the village hall.
Thanks to Loughborough College for the loan of the display boards. To everyone who donated tombola prizes. To the judges and the volunteers who helped on the day.
