The team efforts of 2019 have been amazing.
A HUGE number of bags – 515 – have been collected; 495 volunteer hours.
If you’re wondering what 515 bags of litter look like – see the photograph and times by 26!
And of course, we must acknowledge that there are other wonderful NG11
individuals that go out too!
The A453 businesses McDonalds, Tesco Express and KFC and Nottingham Trent University have also joined some of our litter events. They have helped with refreshments and they all help by clearing litter along the A453 on a regular basis.
Many thanks to Hope Centre who continue to sponsor us by providing much appreciated refreshments after our two main Clifton events and Bridges Community Trust that support the team with printing and photocopying.
A big thank you to Paul Brown’s Council Street Team that collect our filled bags promptly and all the NG11 Ward Councillors and CPOs that support us when they can.
A fantastic collaborative effort that helps keep NG11 litter free.
A New Year’s Resolution

Duke of Edinburgh Award
Crystal Bolam, local pupil of Farnborough Academy aged 13, last November commenced the challenging Duke of Edinburgh Award and has decided to volunteer her time to litter clearing and associated projects in helping to keep NG11 litter free.
On Saturday 30th November with Tracy Bolam (Gran), Dexter and Korthin, we spent an hour in Waterdown Woods and collected 6 bags of litter and the following week Crystal and Gran also joined the final NG11 team event.
A fantastic effort, a positive contribution to the NG11 community.
All the best Crystal.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year.
Alma Davies.
