We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has supported Clifton NG11 Food Bank over the last year.
For those of you that would like to know some statistics, from March – December 2021 we have helped: 626 adults and 815 children and the Angel Green Community Kitchen has helped 500 +.
All of these people were referred to us by a local professional, whether it be Clifton Advice Centre, schools or another.
Most people that were referred to us were on low income, or zero-hour contracts.
We know we shouldn’t need a Food Bank in this day and age, but here we are, 9 years and counting.
We are fortunate to say that we have always had enough stock to provide for everyone that is referred to us
We rely on donations of foods, monies, grants and wonderful individuals and companies that want to support the work we do in our community.
To make a donation, visit https://www.hopenotts.org/donate and select NG11 Foodbank from the drop down or set up a standing order through our website.
To donate items, we have donation baskets in all the supermarkets, please drop an extra item in if you are able.
Together we really do make a huge difference!
About NG11 Foodbank
What do we do? We listen, support, signpost, encourage, reassure, and chat. What we don’t do is judge.
We’ve all been there at one time or another, we’ve all had to ask for help, please don’t be too proud to get some support if you need it, because when you are back on your feet, you can help others. We have a great community here in Clifton, we are proud to be a part of it.
We have a Nottingham City Advice worker here with us every Tuesday who is a great asset for anyone that needs information or assistance.
Food Box Project
We have now introduced our new project alongside the food bank. This is to educate, inform, support, cook, enable. This project has got off to a great start, many of the people coming onto the course are really enjoying themselves and learning lots along the way. People are saving money for the first time ever, learning to cook simple nourishing foods for their families, meal planning, budgeting. It’s really encouraging,
Finally, we would like to say a massive thank you to our amazing volunteers, what a year!
Come rain, shine, stormy weather or snow, they are here Tuesday and Saturday mornings doing the best to support everyone in need, they are all awesome.
