Nottinghamshire Hospice is launching a new wellbeing group in Clifton, offering free local support for people with incurable illnesses and their carers.

Starting on Tuesday 12 May 2026, the Clifton Wellbeing Group will take place every Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm at Clifton Cornerstone.
Designed to help people live as well as possible with their diagnosis, the group will provide a supportive space for relaxation, social connection and shared experiences with others in a similar situation.
Each session will be shaped around the needs of those attending, with a mix of arts, crafts, games and companionship. The group offers a safe environment where patients and carers can feel heard and understood, helping to reduce isolation and anxiety.
Healthcare staff and registered nurses will also be on hand to provide one-to-one support. This includes guidance on advance care planning to help improve quality of life and support future care decisions. Support and signposting is available for carers.
Based in the heart of the Clifton community, the group has been developed in partnership with Nottingham City Council and Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board to make support more accessible and bring care closer to home.
Transport can also be provided for those who may otherwise find it difficult to attend.
The group has been made possible thanks to a grant from Nottinghamshire Freemasons through the Masonic Charitable Foundation, managed by Hospice UK.
