Game, Set, Community: Discover Burton Joyce Tennis Club

05/05/2026 by Digital Media

Tucked away at the top of Cragmoor Road, Burton Joyce Tennis Club is a thriving local hub where sport, friendship and community spirit come together.

Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time or you’re a seasoned league player, the club offers a welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy the game.

Players of all ages and abilities are encouraged to get involved. Beginners can learn the basics, social players can enjoy relaxed sessions and meet new people, and more competitive members take part in league matches against other clubs across Nottinghamshire.

Improving your game has never been easier thanks to professional coaching delivered in partnership with Inspire2Coach. Group coaching sessions run throughout the year for both adults and juniors, catering to players of all abilities. For those who prefer a more personalised approach, one-to-one coaching sessions are also available.

One of the highlights of the club’s calendar is its Junior Tennis and Activity Camps, designed for children aged 5–16. These full-day camps provide an energetic and fun environment where children can learn new skills, stay active and make new friends. Plans are already underway for a series of camps during the summer holidays of 2026, with dates and details to be announced soon.

Members benefit from three all-weather courts equipped with floodlights, meaning tennis can be played all year round. Membership is designed to be affordable, with excellent value options available for individuals, families and students — including a two-month trial membership for just £25.

The club will be holding an Open Day on Sunday 28 June, giving anyone interested the perfect opportunity to come along, meet members, and see what the club has to offer.

To learn more about membership, coaching or upcoming activities, visit the club website, where you can also get in touch through the contacts page: https://burtonjoycetennisclub.clubbuzz.co.uk/
