New defibrillator fitted on Central Avenue

24/05/2022 by Digital Media

In July last year, Mad Dog Sports in West Bridgford sparked a huge fundraising mission after the defibrillator situated outside their shop had been missing for over 3 months.

Within 18 hours of starting their challenge the target had been met and very soon after this, the missing one was also returned.

It decided that the money raised would go towards housing a second defibrillator which would be placed in another area of West Bridgford.

In recent weeks, it is fantastic to know that the second defibrillator and cabinet has been fitted outside Central News & Cards on Central Avenue.

Stephen Spencer, the owner of Mag Dog Sports said: ‘Thanks to the generosity and good will of the community of West Bridgford, we now have two defibrillators in very prominent positions.’

‘This equipment is vital in helping individuals who are suffering a cardiac arrest. We hope they aren’t ever needed to be used though!’
