Rushcliffe residents are being asked to name their favourite business to be in with a chance to win one of 40 £25 vouchers to spend at over 50 participating businesses across the Borough.
To enter shoppers are asked to simply comment and/or tag in their favourite business from a Rushcliffe high street or retail area on Rushcliffe Borough Council’s related social media posts on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels from today or email [email protected] by Friday December 11 at 4pm.
All those who mention a business will then be placed in a draw for a £25 Rushcliffe Gift Voucher valid until March 31 at the participating outlets listed at www.rushcliffe.gov.uk/giftvoucher
Winners will then be notified by Saturday December 12 of how they can redeem their voucher to spend at participating businesses.
It will give customers the opportunity to spend it on one of the remaining 13 shopping days until Christmas or wait a little longer once it is anticipated even more outlets will be open for business.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Deputy Leader Cllr Andy Edyvean said: “In what has been an exceptionally tough year for businesses we want people to continue visiting and spending in our wonderful high street businesses and the Rushcliffe Gift Voucher is a further chance to do so.
“It was a welcome return for many non-essential retail businesses to be able to open their doors on Wednesday and we hope hospitality outlets will soon be able to join them when central government feels this is safe to do so.
“These vouchers can be used at a range of businesses on our high street and currently every penny is vital for so many.
“We have distributed over £21m of central government grants to businesses in Rushcliffe this year and we continue to help wherever we can.
