Lowdham Horticultural Society Summer Show will be celebrating its 131st year on Bank Holiday Monday 26th August at Lowdham Village Hall and Playing Fields (NG14 7D) from 1pm-4.30pm.
Come along and enjoy a great afternoon of family fun. We have a fantastic programme of entertainment to include an acrobatic display by the Dako Flying Angels, music by Nottingham Concert Band and a Punch and Judy show.
Over the afternoon, browse a variety of sideshows and stalls, play traditional games, relax with a drink and home-made cake. Visit the exhibitor’s marquee full of home-grown flowers, fruit and vegetables, floral art, home baking, art and crafts and exhibits by Young People.
The afternoon concludes with our traditional duck race followed by an auction of exhibit donations and surplus produce.
If you love growing flowers, fruit, vegetables, flower arranging, crafting, baking and photography why not exhibit in the show? There are 130 different classes to enter so something for all the family whether you are a beginner or more experienced. Classes specifically for under 16s are free to enter and all entrants win a prize.
Entrance to the show ground is £2.50. Under 16s are free.
Pick up a schedule and entry form from Lowdham Post Office, The Bookcase or download from our website www.lowdhamhortsoc.org.uk.
We welcome anyone who would like to join the society and help us continue the wonderful tradition of our Summer Show. If you can spare a few hours over the coming weeks or just on Summer Show Day to help out, we would love to hear from you. Contact Nicola Macdonald at [email protected] or telephone 07908 598022.
