Seven-year-old Aleesha Gadhia from West Bridgford has worked tirelessly over the past 2 years to promote awareness about climate change and the environment.

Her endless hard work has not gone unnoticed, as Aleesha won an award at the Child of Britain award in the Environmental Category.

On 24th June 2022, Aleesha and with her Mum travelled to London to the London Grosvenor Hotel, where Eamonn Holmes presented her an award and singer and songwriter Callum Scott performed.

Aleesha has also been nominated for the BBC Make a difference awards and weaturalists awards both for her climate change campaigning. These awards evenings are due to be held in September.

Aleesha is the first youth ambassador for Cool Earth, which aims to raise awareness of climate change and lobbies businesses to operate more sustainably.
