St Paul’s Café & Community Kitchen welcomed over 120 members of the public on 25th June 2022, as part of our drive for monthly social eating events and to further build links with the community.
With at least 30 volunteers leading the event, guests were welcomed on to the grounds of St Paul’s to enjoy an afternoon of fantastic live music from PRS Jazz Band and the Tuneless Choir; a pay-what-you-like BBQ, a bouncy castle; a substantial drinks station and the opportunity to try out The Café on the Corner’s delicious cakes and our fast-becoming-known fab, freshly ground coffee.
The event was made possible by the strong links that St Paul’s Café and Community Kitchen has recently developed with businesses such as Macmae House, MENCAP, Morrisons, COOP, Ruddington Pantry and ASDA. With their support and donations, we were able to use surplus food that would have otherwise gone to waste.
Thankfully the weather just about held out and it was a fabulous afternoon all round!
