Following its closure in late 2021, the Four Bells Inn, in Woodborough has been taken over by local landlady Beccy Webster.
Beccy, who also runs the Gedling Inn has a wealth of experience in the pub trade, starting as a landlady at the age of 18.
We spoke briefly with Beccy about her plans and what attracted her to taking over here.
Beccy explained: ‘It’s a beautiful pub in a great location and it was sad to see it closed. The village is so lovely and has amenities close by such as the park, the health centre, the church and the village hall.’
‘We’ll be holding several events to welcome everyone back to the pub, as well as having a weekly quiz every Tuesday, special food evenings and local live music.’
‘We’ve employed 10 new members of staff, with some of them living in the village or Calverton so it will be lovely.’
They plan to serve good quality, home cooked food with meat from local butchers and fresh fruit and vegetables from a local supplier.
They are keen to support all local clubs, events and activities.
Beccy added: ‘We’ve hit a few stumbling blocks with our renovations but are looking forward to opening the doors in early April.’
