Cotgrave Service Station (the JET garage on Main Road, Cotgrave) has sponsored four new sets of sports kit for the local secondary school, South Nottinghamshire Academy (SNA) in Radcliffe on Trent, Nottingham.
The 56 new shirts are in a range of sizes to fit 11- to 18-year-old pupils and are in the school’s signature colours of dark and light blue. They feature the updated school maple leaf emblem alongside the JET logo on the front and the squad number and Cotgrave Service Station logo on the back.
The garage in Cotgrave serves the local community in both Radcliffe on Trent and Cotgrave as well as the surrounding villages with MOT testing, car servicing and repairs as well as having a petrol station and convenience store. They wanted to support the purchasing of these new kits as many of their customers have children at the school and this is a small way of showing their appreciation.
The shirts which are made by Pendle Sportswear are in sizes to suit all ages and make up 4 full sets of kit. They will be worn by a wide range of different students along with the school’s blue sports shorts and socks when representing the school in a variety of sport events throughout the academic year such as football, handball and dodgeball.
Since arriving last week the kits have already had their first outings at two Year 9 football matches for both the girls and the boys and at the Redhill Trust wide handball competition where over 40 students took part representing the Academy.
Lucy Roach, Head of PE at South Nottinghamshire Academy said: “We think the new shirts look absolutely great and the students have been really looking forward to wearing them whilst taking part in various school sporting competitions.”
Dan Philpotts, Headteacher at South Nottinghamshire Academy said: “Thanks so much to Cotgrave Service Station for sponsoring SNA and we are so excited to see our sports teams wearing this really smart and professional looking shirt at future events representing our school.”
Lee Whiteman, owner of Cotgrave Service Station said: “It is an absolute pleasure as a local business to be able to sponsor the school and get the new kit for their sports teams, which we think looks fantastic!”
