The 2nd East Leake Scouts May Day Celebration returned again this year and it was bigger and better than ever!
The sun shone all afternoon as people enjoyed lots of entertainment from the main arena and side stalls alike.
Particular highlights were the Viking reanactments by Krigsvin Re-enactment and no May Day would be complete without a May Pole and some Morris dancing courtesy of the local primary schools.
The Tug of War was a tough contest with the East Leake Rugby Club claiming the title for the second year running!
Claire from the 2nd East Leake Scout Group said: “A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the event what it was. We couldn’t do it without you, from stall holders, parents and those who came to see what was going on. It all makes a massive difference to our fundraising and what we can do for the young people within our Scout group.”
“We hope to see you all again next year!”
