Local Councillors cleaning up Clifton one park at a time

09/02/2022 by Digital Media

The first of the 2022 clean ups have started by the Clifton East Councillors as they sweep across  areas of Clifton collecting litter and removing weeds.

They said, “On Sunday we went and cleaned all parks in Clifton East plus the Clifton Flower Park collecting a total of 14 bags followed by a garage site clean-up that was overrun with brambles and weeds, making it difficult for some elderly people that rent the garages to maintain the areas outside their garage.

“We believe in putting words into action and will always respond to any messages asking for help. In a time when services are low or staffing levels are low, we will step in and do all we can to help the residents of Clifton East.

“We are always out and about trying to improve the cleanliness of our ward along with some fantastic Clean champion litter pickers in which I believe Clifton has the most registered and without them it would not look as great as it does. So, we want to thank each and every one of them that go out to help tackle litter.

“When you see progress being made it is the incentive to keep going and we will always work hard for Clifton East”
