Local charity receives support from local home care provider

19/03/2024 by Digital Media

Carers from Carefound Home Care in West Bridgford donated gifts to local homelessness charity the Friary.

The Friary helps homeless and vulnerable people rebuild their lives in the Nottingham area and last year they saw a big increase in the number of visitors using their drop-in centre in West Bridgford.

In December, carers from Carefound Home Care in West Bridgford gathered much needed items such as long-life food, juice, footwear, and toiletries which they were delighted to donate to the local charity.

Ben Talbot, Chief Executive of The Friary, said: “Gifts like this are important, as the Friary continues to use its resources to support the homeless and vulnerable in our community.”

“Our drop-in centre continues to offer food parcels and clothing, showers, and breakfasts, as well as well-being and welfare advice to provide a little more aid and assistance to alleviate the hardship the pandemic, and the increase in the cost of living has caused.”

“Please convey thanks to all those who contributed – your kindness and support are appreciated by all at the Friary.”

Shelley Taylor, Recruitment and Community Manager at Carefound Home Care in West Bridgford, commented on the donation: “We’re always looking to support our local community at Carefound Home Care in West Bridgford and we’re very grateful for our colleagues who have donated items to the Friary this winter. It really is heart-warming to see the difference it makes.”
