Joshua Partridge from Calverton, has been raising money for the RBLI and awareness for around 6,000 homeless veterans in the UK.
In March, we reported on Joshua starting this years ‘Great Tommy Sleepout’ and his incredible commitment, where he was looking to improve on his achievements in 2021, by sleeping more than 56 nights in a tent.
Joshua started his sleep out on a very cold and frosty night in January, which was 2 months before the official start date of the challenge.
Due to his amazing efforts, the team at the RBLI invited him to set up camp in their Garden of Honour at the RBLI’S village in Kent. Joshua had the honour of spending his 50th night there.
Fast forward to now and Joshua has slept his 118th night (and counting!) in a hammock in his family garden and has managed to raise an incredible £5,800 for the charity.
Joshua, who is a pupil at Colonel Frank Seely School in Calverton, has now been nominated for a BBC Make A Difference Award. This award ceremony is due to take place on Wednesday 21st September at the Contemporary Art Gallery.
Joshua and his family would like to thank everyone who has supported him so far with donations and their support.
