Local identical twins, Alice and Florence Danielson aged 8 from West Bridgford, took to the water to perform their “It Takes 2” duet at the Robin Hood Artistic Swimming Competition in Hucknall.
Too young to compete for points, the dynamic duo, warmed the judges up with their pre-swim and wowed the audience with their super-synchronised moves.
The girls attend Jesse Gray School and are part of The Bramcote Swimming Club’s AquaStars who are the Artistic Swimming (formerly known as Synchronised Swimming) extension of the successful and long standing, Bramcote Swimming Club.
Following their recent performance, Coach Sally Poon said, “The girls really fought through their nerves, showing us a great duet, showcasing all the hard work they had put in with Young Coach Heather Moore. At only just 8 years old, its a big ask and we are very excited to see what the coming seasons have in store for them.”
The twins’ Mum has been with them every step of the way, helping out at poolside during their regular training sessions. “The girls just love being part of the AquaStars Family and cannot wait until they are old enough to compete. Our families are so very proud of them and what they have achieved this far.“
