Gunthorpe C of E Primary School’s Easter celebrations were a joyful occasion filled with fun, reflection, and community spirit. Families and children gathered for a heart-warming Easter service, where the children led the congregation through the Easter story, highlighting its themes of joy, sadness, and the hope that Easter brings.
The atmosphere was electric, with the children’s singing filling the air, creating a truly memorable and moving experience for all. Thank you to Rev Anna for joining us and leading the Blessing. The celebrations continued with an Easter bonnet and egg decorating competition, showcasing the creativity of the pupils. The service ended with an exciting chocolate Easter raffle, leaving everyone with smiles on their faces and a sense of togetherness.
On the last day of term, we enjoyed a lovely whole school picnic on our school field and we had a surprise in store for the children. An egg hunt across our beautiful grounds. It was so good to see children, young and old, working together to collect eggs!
We have had a wonderful celebration of Easter, and the whole school community is already looking forward to next year’s festivities!
