Edwalton Primary School hold huge picnic to celebrate Queen’s 70 years’ service

17/06/2022 by Digital Media

Edwalton Primary School held a huge picnic in recognition of the Jubilee celebrations and the Queen’s 70 years’ service.

Children sat in their class groups in the school’s playing field, with many children wearing their own hand-crafted crowns. Pupils Aimee, Ruby, Manreet and Jasmine also made an ingenious artwork of the Queen’s profile in used stamps.

Head Teacher Anthony Thomas said, “It was wonderful to see all of the school outside in the sunshine, celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee. Children enjoyed a healthy picnic created in school and took part in games and fun activities. The afternoon was a great way to mark such a momentous and historic year.”
