Saturday 16th July, 12 noon – 10.30pm, Nottingham Rugby Club
2022 marks Lady Bay Festival’s tenth year and we’re delighted to be back to the full festival offering. After an innovative virtual event during the first lockdown of 2020, last year Lady Bay Festival was one of Nottingham’s first Covid-safe outdoor live music events when restrictions were relaxed. This year, we’re back at Nottingham Rugby and taking full advantage of the spacious green site to return to a full festival line up of live music, great food, stalls from creative local businesses and a wealth of fun things to do for children and families.
The live music line-up is as high-quality and diverse as ever, featuring international acts James Walsh (Starsailor), Ben Ottewell (Gomez), Rue Royale and Dekker alongside lots of great local talent.
James Walsh (Starsailor) says:
Excited to return to Nottingham after a great gig at the Bodega earlier in the year. Can’t wait to play Lady Bay Festival this summer alongside the amazing Ben Ottewell and host of other fantastic acts.
Ben Ottewell (Gomez) says:
Delighted to announce I’m playing the 10th Lady Bay Festival, at Nottingham Rugby.
Festival favourites Analogue Haze will bring the 80s back to Lady Bay with their signature set of retro crowd-pleasers (#justcantgetenough #nffc). Nottingham-based live music collective Stinking Rita return with their “collision of dirty blues, trance jazz, funky improvised tunes for good souls.” Hotly-tipped Liverpool outfit Bobby West and the Outsiders are ones to watch this year, with Louder Than War describing them as having, “all the hallmarks of Richard Hawley playing cards with Johnny Cash, whilst Mark Lanegan looks on with a glass of bourbon.”
To make sure Lady Bay Festival is a great day out for all the family, we’ve expanded the offer for children and families this year. Get the kids jumping in Top Dogs’ Inflatable World or try out a range of creative activities with V-Create, who will be hosting a silent disco, graffiti workshop and lots of other arty fun for youngsters.
Of course, no Lady Bay Festival would be complete with great food and you’ll be spoilt for choice this year. We’re proud to support our excellent local businesses for the festival food offering, with Ken’s Barbi coming direct to Lady Bay from Glastonbury with freshly-cooked gourmet options to suit every palate. Falafel Baffle will be serving up lovingly home-made, vegan and vegetarian food, based around Israeli falafel. Mrs Singh will return to the festival with her mouthwatering and ever-popular Indian home cooking.
