On Saturday 30 November East Leake Village Hall held their Christmas Fair. It’s always an extremely popular event in the community and this year’s proved to be bigger than ever.
As well as the 22 sellers, selling a wide range of items, the hall was able to run several fundraising tables with the help of local businesses and individuals donating many wonderful prizes.
The raffle had a top prize of £100 of Elms Farm vouchers won by Norman & Helen Meakin and a second prize of £50 Elms Farm vouchers both donated by David Wilson Homes, a big thank you goes out to the them but we also owe a massive thank you to our amazing community and local business through your kindness and support we raised over £1,500 which will be a big help in our steps to maintain and improve the hall.
Special thanks go to: The Greengrocer, At Home by Laura, Juniper Homecare, Apple Blossom Gift Emporium, Esprit Beauty & Wellness, Goode Aesthetics, Charlies Chippings, Beadamoss Micropropagation, Googies Flowers, Smiths Estate Agency, GM Catering, Costock Christmas Trees, Una Lacey Pilates, The Hourglass Tattoo Studio, Quorn Country Crafts, East Leake Hardware and Dave Benson Plumbing & Heating.
A special thank you must also goes to East Leake Bell Ringers and East Leake Folk Group keeping everyone entertained.
Finally, a massive thank you to all our volunteers who help make these events happen and make it fun for everyone attending. One of the highlights from this year’s fair was the excited faces of the children as they hunted for Gingerbread men hidden around the hall and on stall holder’s tables. They will return next year!
We look forward to next year’s Christmas fair on Saturday 29 November 2025 and if you would like to volunteer or are interested in being a part of the Village Halls Committee please get in touch via our Facebook pages.
