The Nottingham Model Railway Society was established in 1971, the group have organised an annual model railway exhibition in Nottingham since the mid 1970s. Starting with shows at the Victoria Leisure Centre until the show outgrew the size of the hall in 2000, they then moved to Harvey Hadden Sports Centre.
Recently, they have moved from having a large show in the sports centre to having a small, friendly, local show. The first local show was in 2019 and occurred at Highbank Community Centre in Clifton. The show was very successful and many Clifton residents came along for the first time to a model railway show.

Nottingham Model Railway Society Spring Show 2020

Opening times, 10:00 to 17:00 Saturday, 10:00 to 16:00 Sunday.

We will have 8 model railway layouts varying in size and scale along with some trade stands selling model railway equipment. We also have a couple of demonstrations; one showing how to build model buildings and one showing how to get started in model railways. There will be opportunities for visitors to get ‘hands on’ and try out operating a layout of making a building.
If visitors are inspired to get more involved, we welcome new members. We have a clubroom where we are building several models and meet on Tuesday evenings. Our club room is in Mapperley.
