Developer Charterpoint has secured planning permission for a development of one-bedroom apartments in Beeston, Nottingham.
The two/three-storey scheme, on the corner of Queens Road and Hawthorn Grove, will provide nine individual apartments.
Featuring open plan kitchen, living and dining areas, the properties will be located a short walk from Beeston town centre and close to the University of Nottingham, major employers such as Boots, and key tram, bus and rail facilities.
Director of Edwalton-based Charterpoint, Giles Nursey, said: “This is a great location with facilities such as shops, food outlets and transport opportunities on the doorstep. Broxtowe Borough Council granted approval for the development, stating in a report to councillors that: “The benefits of the proposal are that it would provide nine additional homes within an existing urban area and would support short term benefits such as jobs during the construction of the proposed dwellings and would be in accordance with policies contained within the development plan.”
The site is currently used as a car sales business.
