Bingham Twinning Association return from visit to Wallenfels

08/09/2022 by Digital Media

Fifty members, including a number of families, from Bingham Twinning Association have just returned from a successful and enjoyable visit to our twin town Wallenfels in Bavaria.

We were very warmly welcomed and entertained. We were invited to take part in their Church Festival (Kirchweih) service and parades which was a privilege and much appreciated. The Toothill Alumni Dance Band performed with great skill at several venues and were enthusiastically received. Helen Markwick presented a project from year 5 pupils at Carnarvon school to the Bürgermeister – Jens Korn – for the pupils at Wallenfels primary school.

It was a huge pleasure to visit Wallenfels again after a few years and we look forward to welcoming our friends from Wallenfels when they next visit Bingham.
