After the success of Beeston’s first Repair Café, we’re pleased to tell you it’s back again!
The next one will take place on Saturday 7th October at Beeston Methodist Church from 2pm – 4:30pm. If you’d like to head along and get your items fixed for free, please book a slot using the following link: tinyurl.com/yswzn9vm or just Ecosia search (we hope you’ve all switched your search engines to Ecosia by now!) ‘Beeston Repair Café 7th Oct’ and you’ll find it on Eventbrite.
Appointments are limited to one person per event and you will need to book an appointment for the specific fixer you need (electrical, bike repair, textiles etc). Homemade cakes and refreshments will be available on a “pay as you feel” basis and there will also be a plant swap and a clothes swap happening.
The idea of the repair café is to keep items in use for longer (saving people money on buying something new) and to keep items out of landfill. It’s also a great community event where local people get to know one another better. Feedback from the last event was really positive.
If you can’t make this one, future dates are as follows (all at Beeston Methodist Church and all on Saturday):
- January 27th 2024
· May 18th 2024
· July 27th 2024
· October 26th 2024
If you’d like to ask any questions or offer yourself up as a fixer for future events please email: [email protected]
