BEAT Public Talk Saturday 28th March 2pm – 4:30pm Admission FREE
We have exciting news for you! Alan Simpson, the Shadow Chancellor’s Advisor on Sustainable Economics, has very kindly agreed to lead a talk in Beeston on how communities can tackle the climate crisis. There will also be speakers from local groups including Urban Worm (give her an ecosia search – she’s great!), Notts Tree Planters, Incredible Edible Beeston, Greening Beeston and of course BEAT!
There’ll be free cake (who doesn’t like free cake?!) and a chance to chat to, and join, any groups you’re interested in; you might even be inspired to start something of your own!
The free talk will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church Hall, Foster Avenue, Beeston, NG9 1AE.
Everyone is welcome and we hope the event will be informative, empowering, positive and practical. (BEAT went to a talk previously led by Alan and came away totally inspired).
We’re lucky here in Nottingham to have the most ambitious target in the UK of becoming carbon neutral by 2028.
We’ve already made huge strides as a city, so we wanted to take inspiration from these amazing efforts and make Beeston a shining example of positive change led by our community – you!
Capacity is limited so please go to the website below to claim your free place. Hope to see you there! Visit: www.eventbrite.com/e/tackling-the-climate-crisis-together-tickets-93582827757
