Village turns Pink & Blue for Baby Loss Awareness Week

04/11/2020 by Digital Media

Following their heartbreaking loss a few years ago, resident Julie Oldwilll gained the support of locals and turned East Leake Pink and Blue for Baby Loss Awareness Week.

Back in 2015 they were given support by local charity Forever Stars.  The help received became invaluable to the couple during this difficult time.

Due to the work done by Julie and Heather after their experience, Forever Stars asked them to become Trustees and the couple agreed without hesitation. Since then,  they have been heavily involved with fundraising and Baby Loss Awareness Week.  This year was certainly no different!

The support from the local community was remarkable and the photographs here are a small selection of the displays of support from around East Leake.

The aim of the couple is to raise as much awareness as possible.  If they can stop this happening to just one family, they will have achieved their goal.

To find out more about Forever Stars, or maybe offer your help and support to the charity, please visit their website at: https://www.foreverstars.org.
