Local business donates mud kitchen to local school

04/11/2020 by Digital Media

Clifton school receives generous donation that encourages kids to have fun outdoors.

A member of staff from Nethergate SENS School in Clifton shared a post on social media asking for donations of outdoor toys and play equipment.

Local project ‘imakestuff’ run by Gavin Dawes responded by kindly donating a handmade children’s mud kitchen to help encourage the pupils to get more hands-on with mud, sand and all things outdoors.

Mr Dawes has a passion for making use of disused wood and scraps of timber. He enjoys upcycling old furniture, home décor and creating mud kitchens instead of letting wood offcuts ending up in
the local tip.

Nethergate were delighted to receive many items in response to their advert, received from generous local doners.

Local project imakestuff is based in East Leake, Nottingham.
