Elliott Davidson, 25, founder and director of an eCommerce marketing agency Contrast in Nottingham has been busy working hard during the pandemic, having recently acquired a seven figure business called Y Frame Discounts Ltd.
The company was established more than fourteen years ago. Y Frame Discounts Ltd is a cycling retailer which predominantly sells accessories on marketplaces like Amazon at the moment. During the COVID-19 pandemic the sector in particular has been doing extremely well where bike sales have increased by 60%.
The young entrepreneur has big plans to rebrand the company by leveraging his own knowledge to accelerate growth and launch its very own eCommerce online store. The company will also benefit from Boris Johnson’s recent announcement where he has officially launched the “cycling and walking revolution” with a £2 billion investment which will be spent on thousands of miles of cycle lanes, cycling lessons for children and adults and also plans to strengthen the highway code to protect cyclists and pedestrians.
“I am thrilled to be taking on Y Frame Discounts Ltd which is already a successful business especially during the COVID-19 pandemic where this sector has been booming. I recognise its potential and have many new ideas to bring to the table with the intention of developing the business further with a fresh digital approach”; Elliott comments.
The agency Contrast has also been doing well during these uncertain times and Elliott has been looking for new recruits to join the team. “This is an exciting time not just for this new business venture but also for Contrast. We are currently looking to reposition the agency into something unique which will form a hybrid agency that will focus on eCommerce and we will become our own client with all of these new businesses. This will enable us to take full control of all digital marketing and we hope this demonstrates our ability to sustain and grow our own businesses to potential clients.”
eCommerce is also another industry that has benefitted from the pandemic as it has seen a 19% increase in growth reaching £78.9bn this year. Contrast is becoming a well established agency in Nottingham and Elliott is confident that the agency is coming out of this pandemic as strong as ever. There are plenty of new hirings opening up at Contrast which is such a positive outcome, especially in times of crisis.
