Year 6 pupils enjoy trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park

12/07/2024 by Digital Media

After the hard work and determination that was dedicated to their SATs, the year 6 pupils from Robert Miles Junior School were rewarded with a fantastic day trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

In a short trip up north and an earlier than normal start time, excitement was in the air. On the bus, children explained what animals they were looking forward to seeing, with answers ranging from a baby rhino to the giraffes.

After the unpredictable weather recently, it was fantastic that the sun shone throughout the day
and the rain stayed away.

Pupils enjoyed finding out about camels, anteaters, polar bears and lions in a classroom after lunch, before a trip to the shop to buy souvenirs and an ice cream.

One child said: “I’ve had a great day and I really enjoyed seeing and learning about the Polar Bears.”
