The East Leake Bear Hunt is now live, up to Saturday 22nd November. It is organised by the popular East Leake Traders Association. Shops, traders and businesses all have bears to find.
They are hidden in either shops, windows, vans, on social media posts or websites including the East Leake Traders website. Children in East Leake are on a very special bear hunt.
There are over 50 businesses taking part and forms are in distribution in shops or on www.eastleaketraders.co.uk website.
There are a list of businesses/shops and the children have to match the bear name to the right business. Forms have to be handed in by the 22nd November to Captcha Photography (The Studio) and the top 50 completed entrants will all win one of the bears.
Those who get the most correct answers will be announced at the East Leake Lights Switch On on Saturday 29th November, a list will be published in MYNA Opticians windows and the lucky bear
owners can go and retrieve their bear from the East Leake Traders bear stall.
It’s great for the village and brings children and their families out into the high street and looking for the businesses and their bears in East Leake. One Grandma has her daughter visit from Yorkshire especially to carry out the bear hunt – it is that popular!
It’s a lovely event where children and parents really do get into the swing of it. Children love that they can win the bears and some even have a collection of the bears they have proudly worked hard to find over the years.
A special thank you must go to Julie (Mrs Mowitall) for the bear distribution.
The Bear Hunt is organised by East Leake Traders every year. Any East Leake Traders member will get their bear as part of their membership.Thank you to everyone involved or who has taken part.
