This year’s Woodborough Summer Fair will take place on Saturday 20th July from 12-3.30pm, on the village sports field behind the village hall on Lingwood Lane. There will be free parking signposted in the village only a few minutes walk from the event and limited disabled parking on the site itself.
As always, this free to enter event has a non-stop program of live entertainment in both the arena area and acoustic stage, with acts changing every 30 mins, Sitting beside a range of hot food vendors and a licenced bar. Alongside local clubs and performers, the star act this year are the amazing Wheel 2 Wheel Display Team, the UKs most energetic and captivating Bike Trial Show around. These guys offer jaw-dropping performances to wow any crowd and are on their 2024 UK Tour, so we are delighted to announce that it will include a visit to Woodborough.
At the heart of the summer fair is the fantastic array of stalls with a great range of local mouth-watering food and drinks alongside homemade artisan crafts and gift ideas. There is still room to squeeze a few more stalls in, so if you wish to discuss booking a place, please contact [email protected] who will be happy to help.
Woods Motor Club will be on site and happy to show you around a selection of their hottest cars. Younger visitors can meet children’s favourite Peppa Pig, play on a selection of fantastic inflatables, test their skills against Woodborough Celtic Youth FC’s top corner challenge, have their face painted and eat ice cream. Of course, there will still be time to squeeze in all your other favourites like the family fun dog show and the spectacular Woodborough Community Association Grand Prize draw to close the show with some mega prizes to be won.
Want to make a day of it? Woodborough Health Club will be hosting an open day on the day of the fair and Woodborough Art Group have their Summer Exhibition in the Institute on the Saturday and Sunday. Both can be found on Roe Lane opposite Lingwood Lane, only 2 minutes walk from the Fair and on the way from the car park.
