Roadgas recently sponsored a Women and Girls Rugby Development Day, along with Nottingham Rugby, down at Lady Bay. It was organised by Notts Lincs and Derby RFU and included opportunities to coach and referee, as well as a presentation to highlight further opportunities within rugby union.
It was attended by coaches, current and retired players who are looking to become more involved in the fastest growing team sport in England.
Participants were able to network and share coaching ideas about how to increase numbers in girls and women’s rugby, as well as increase their awareness of other roles within the sport.
The participants included 10 current players and coaches from West Bridgford Ladies RFC who really enjoyed the day and are now looking forward to the rest of their season putting into practice what they learnt.
