Volunteer Opportunity At Think Children

05/02/2021 by Digital Media

Local children’s charity Think Children is currently looking for a Treasurer to join their board of Trustees.

The Newark-based charity offers effective support for children across Nottinghamshire who may be struggling to cope with emerging emotional, social and/or behavioural issues. The preventative approach aims to support children before issues get worse, becoming harder and more costly to solve.

The Treasurer would be an overseer of good financial governance and a scrutineer rather than a hands-on role within the organisation.

The role would suit someone with a passion for making a difference to children’s lives who is able to think strategically with good judgement and work effectively as part of team. Relevant financial experience and an understanding of charity finance is required.

The successful person would need to attend quarterly board meetings (currently on Zoom) on Wednesdays 6.30pm – 8.30pm, as well as the AGM. In addition from time to time there may be additional meetings with the charity’s Chair and management staff team.

Any queries or for a chat about the role please contact Cathy Bow at [email protected]
