Volunteer for a great cause

28/01/2020 by Digital Media

The Macmillan Beyond Diagnosis Service provides emotional and practical support to anyone affected by cancer. It is looking for volunteers in Nottingham for just 1-2 hours a week to provide a listening ear and someone to talk to, for someone on their cancer journey and their families. Support can be delivered on an ongoing basis or a one off basis. Practical support can range from helping with shopping or accompanying to an appointment such as at the hospital or to a support group. A full day’s Macmillan training will be provided. Do you have the ability to communicate clearly with others, excellent listening skills, empathy and the ability to respond to the needs of others? Are you reliable and able to work independently with guidance and support?

If this sounds like you then please call Rose Warren (Service Coordinator) on 07958 297918
