The team at Tarmac’s Barnstone cement plant has joined forces to give a welcome donation to a Nottinghamshire village foodbank.

Cropwell Bishop Parish Council took delivery of a large collection of foodstuffs and vouchers for food shops – all donated to the local foodbank. Once the collection was received, volunteers got to work distributing the donations to local families in need.
Tarmac’s Barnstone plant production manager Tim Hotchin says: “I was delighted that the Barnstone team supported our foodbank collection so generously. We like to support local community charities where we can and it was a pleasure to be able to deliver such a substantial collection to the Cropwell Bishop volunteers.”
Janice Towndrow, Cropwell Bishop Parish clerk added: “We have been helping our local community with our foodbank and surplus foods throughout the pandemic. These donations of vouchers and food from Tarmac are amazing and will be a great help to our local families. We are sure they will be very grateful. It is heart-warming to see how our communities have come together to help each other at this difficult time. Thank you so much on their behalf.”
