Two lifelong Nottingham friends – Luke Tebbett from Bunny and Stephen Kerry – are to undertake a mammoth challenge alongside 13 of their friends who all met whilst studying for their degrees.
The group of friends are going to run 30 miles across the Norfolk Broads to raise money and awareness for Facial Palsy UK.
Just before Christmas, a friend inside their group developed Ramsay Hunt Syndrome which was misdiagnosed several times and caused him facial paralysis. The friend, who is 35 and otherwise fit and healthy, said “Facial Palsy UK have been my guiding light throughout, offering me with all the advice I need to fight this condition – that’s why I’m so proud of the boys for stepping up and raising awareness of them.”
The university friends rallied round their friend and decided to raise money for the charity who helped and guided their friend through his darkest days.
They have a mission to raise £25,000 for Facial Palsy UK which has suffered great deals during the Pandemic, income is vastly down and they need £25,000 to ensure the next 18 months of their future.
In June, the group will run 50km (30miles) across the Norfolk Broads and there are several ways our readers can support them.
